PHASE 1 CHICKEN NUGGETS

Another day, another recipe for all of our ReLivFit friends who are in Phase 1. šŸ˜Ž

 

One of the hardest parts of any weight-loss program is making the initial changes necessary to upgrade your life. For many of us that requires buying all new household ā€œstapleā€ items and totally changing how we plan our meals. 

That can be a huge undertaking, and we want to help make it as easy as possible. 

That is why we have pulled this Phase 1 Compliant Chicken Nugget recipe from the ReLivFit support group. 

It is no big secret that comfort food isnā€™t always considered healthy! Especially all of those fast-food runs we all make every now and again. Letā€™s be honestā€¦ we all have a favorite chicken nugget, and NONE of them are healthy or allowed in Phase 1 of ReLivFit.

Phase 1 Compliant Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients:

4ozs raw cubed chicken

1 egg wash

1/4 Cup Nutritional Yeast

2 Tsp Italian Seasoning

Pink Salt

Pepper, to taste


Directions:

In a small bowl mix nutritional yeast, Italian seasoning, 1/4 tsp of pink salt and pepper together. 

Take the cubed chicken and pat it completely dry. 

Lightly coat dry cubed chicken with the egg wash and then coat in the nutritional yeast mixture. 

Once all are completely coated, place them on parchment paper and place them in the preheated air fryer set at 375 degrees for about 2-3 minutes. 

Flip then let it cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until light brown. 

Once cooked sprinkle some salt on top while still warm. Let cool then enjoy!
