The new year can feel really really daunting. Everyone online is talking about their “resolutions'' that’ll kick-off the new year. And the pressure to set, and accomplish, your own goals is verrryyy present. And, people feeling down about falling off of their goals. It is a weird little cycle we all have been guilty of at one point or another. 

And, we all know that a lot of these goals tend to revolve around health and fitness. Just a small task, right? 😉

We want to challenge you to set goals for the new year that promote healthy aging! Tina Van Horn and Peter Griscom have both made lists of healthy aging tips that will help you stay on track and achieve your goals. 


Tina’s top healthy aging tips for 2024:

Start with small changes that you can be consistent with like:

  • Start one new Reliv product — it can be tempting to get excited and try to fast track your results by adding several products at once.  Resist this urge and allow your digestive system time to adjust gradually.

  • Instead of journaling everything you eat, start by just tracking one thing like water, protein or added sugars.
  • If your goal is to drink more water, start with one glass of water in the morning before anything else.

  • Start an exercise program slowly with 10 minutes per day and add 1 minute each day for a few weeks until you can comfortably complete 30-40 minutes per session. 

  • Make protein a priority at every meal or snack — before you choose any other foods, start by choosing your source of protein.  Aim for 25-40 grams of protein per meal and at least 10 grams of protein per snack.

  • Never go more than 3 days without exercise — Understand that life will get in the way of your exercise plans (weather, work, family), so you need to be flexible. However, don’t allow the disruptions to extend beyond 3 days. 

Peter’s top Healthy Aging Tips for 2024:

  • Carry a refillable water bottle with you EVERYWHERE! Proper hydration is key to energy and efficient metabolism. It also promotes healthy skin and digestive function. 

  • Shop the perimeter of the grocery store to minimize processed foods that lack nutritional value.

  • Exercise first thing in the morning — lay out your clothes the night before or even sleep in your workout gear to give you a little extra motivation to get up and get moving!
