ReLivFit Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients:
1lb Ground Beef (90/10)
16 oz tomato sauce
16 oz diced tomatoes
6-8 oz tomato paste
1-2 Tbsp garlic ( 1 tsp garlic powder)
2-3 Tbsp Italian seasoning
½ Diced onion
Salt and Pepper
Water
Optional ingredients: Bell Pepper and Mushroom
Instructions:
- Heat your pan and add 1 Tablespoon of water.
- Once the pan is heated add beef and cook until browned. Remove cooked beef, while keeping the juices in the pan, and set aside.
- Add your chopped onions* to the juices and saute until softened. Add water as needed to keep it from burning.
- Once onions are softened, add garlic and stir until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Next, add the tomato sauce, tomato paste and diced tomatoes along with the Italian seasoning. Salt and pepper to taste.
- Let simmer for at least 5 minutes then add the meat back in. Stir and cook until all flavors combine and then enjoy!
In Phase 1 divide into four equal servings, and serve over zucchini noodles or lettuce
In Phase 2- use cassava flour noodles or pea flour noodles
Notes:
*If you would like to add more vegetables to your meal, you can try chopping up some bell peppers and mushrooms with your onions.
If you are using minced mushrooms you will likely not need to add water because mushrooms hold a lot of water naturally. If you are not using them then you may need to add a tablespoon or two of water. Just keep an eye on it!
